| Welcome Zenis a branch of Mahayana-buddhism. The word zen comes from the sanskrit word dhyana which means concentration or absorption. The most central aspect of zen is zazen; sitting meditation. But zen is not just something one does when one is sitting down in meditation, but rather a way of being that can permeate the zen practitioner’s whole life. Zenbuddhistiska Samfundet (The Zenbuddhist Society)was founded in 1982 when Philip Kapleau-roshi visited Stockholm. We are part of "The Cloud-Water Sangha" founded by Roshi Kapleau’s successor Bodhin Kjolhede-roshi. |
