Kanja Odland was born in Stockholm 1963. 1984 she met Philip Kapleau-roshi. She also became a student of Kjolhede-roshi. Since the beginning of 1990 she has been coleader of Zenbuddhistiska Samfundet. She finished her koan training 1999 and was appointed sensei by Kjolhede-roshi in 2001.
